Acapulco Restaurant was my favorite as a kid. My dad would buy me enchiladas and give me a couple coins for the juke box. This was a common spot to stop at after he would paint in his studio in the Third Ward, before the area was hip and safe to be. These moments are very pleasant to think back on, and I've often longingly admired the empty building and sign where Acapulco used to be.
If I cannot have the sign, which has deteriorated into what this logo presents, then at least I can make a comfy sweater... one that comforts me just like my memories.
